Motorcyclist dies after crash, ID’d as Marine from Oak Hills

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) A 21-year-old former U.S Marine from Oak Hills was killed in an early morning crash on Monday.

Brian Delreal died when his motorcycle collided with a 2012 Kia Forte driven by an 87-year-old Victorville resident, police said. The crash happened around 9:01 a.m. at Eucalyptus Street and Locust Avenue in Hesperia.

Deputies arrived on scene and located Delreal lying in the roadway next to his motorcycle and the Kia Forte on the northwest corner of the intersection with the driver trapped.

Despite life-saving measures, Delreal was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The investigation showed Delreal was traveling northbound on Locust Avenue approaching a four-way-stop when he failed to yield and collided into a Kia traveling westbound on Eucalyptus Street, officials said.

It is unknown at this time if speed, drugs, or alcohol were an attributing factor in this collision.
