Motorcyclist Airlifted to Trauma Center Following Victorville Collision

VICTORVILLE, Calif.(VVNG.com) — A motorcyclist was injured after being involved in a traffic collision in Victorville Saturday.

Authorities were called to the scene at the intersection of Sycamore Street and Laurel Oak Road at approximately 3:22 p.m., on February 17, 2024.

Deputies from the Victorville Police Department are investigating the crash.

Victorville Fire Department personnel and AMR emergency workers arrived at the scene and located the crash involving a black and blue 2023 Yamaha YZF motorcycle and a white 2015 Ford Transit work van, which is part of the Super Plumbing company’s vehicle fleet.

The rider was airlifted from Sunset Ridge Park.

After the accident, the injured motorcyclist received immediate care and was subsequently transported to Sunset Ridge Park, a nearby landing ground for the Mercy Air 22 helicopter.

He was airlifted to a specialized trauma center in the Antelope Valley for advanced treatment.

During the investigation into the collision, the Victorville Police Department closed off a portion of Sycamore Street to investigate the cause of the crash.

The Victorville Police Department is investigating the collision, and no further details were immediately available.
