Motorcyclist airlifted after crashing with an SUV on Sheep Creek Road in Phelan

PHELAN, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A motorcycle rider involved in an accident on Super Bowl Sunday was critically injured.

It happened at about 4:56 pm, on February 11, 2024, on Sheep Creek Road near Rancho Road. The two-vehicle collision involved a 2002 GMC Yukon and a black motorcycle.

San Bernardino County Fire responded to the incident and requested an airship to land at the Stater Bros. shopping center.

The rider was transported by ground ambulance to the landing zone and subsequently airlifted via a Mercy Air 22 helicopter to Loma Linda University Medical Center.

An update on the condition of the rider was not available at the time of this article. No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol – Victorville Station.
