Motorcyclist airlifted after crashing on Sequoia Avenue in Hesperia

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A motorcyclist involved in a solo crash was flown to a trauma center Friday afternoon.
The crash involving a red and black street bike was reported at about 1:00 pm, on May 11, 2018, in the area of Sequoia and 2nd Avenues in Hesperia.
According to officials, the motorcycle was traveling westbound on Sequoia Avenue when for reasons still unknown, the rider lost control of his bike and crashed into a fire hydrant, shearing it from the base. The rider was ejected from the bike and thrown between several parked cars at a nearby apartment complex.
Firefighters requested an airship to transport the rider to an out of area trauma center. The rider appeared to be coherent and talking as he was being prepared for transport.
No other injuries were reported and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
