Motorcycle Crash Shuts Down Main Street Saturday Night

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) – A crash involving a motorcyclist and a pickup truck prompted a hard road closure for a portion of Main Street Saturday afternoon.

The crash was reported at 6:32 pm, on Main Street just east of I Avenue in Hesperia.

When deputies arrived, they located a white Chevy S-10 near the 76 Gas Station exit and a mangled motorcycle in the roadway.

According to a witness, the rider was thrown approximately 50 feet from his motorcycle.

Due to the rider’s injuries, San Bernardino County Firefighters requested an air ambulance to transport the patient to a trauma center.

The condition of the motorcyclist remains unknown as of 8:30 pm Saturday.

Main Street between I and Timberlane Avenues will remain closed for several hours while the Major Accident Investigation Team conducts the investigation.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station.
