VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A mother of three was killed during a traffic collision on US Highway 395 Saturday night. It happened at 11:19 pm, when sheriff’s deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Seneca Road and US-395, in Victorville.
Firefighters with San Bernardino County Fire arrived and advised they had two immediate patients with extrication in progress.
“One of the patients succumbed to their injuries on scene and the other remaining patient was flown to a trauma center,” stated San Bernardino County Fire spokesman Eric Sherwin. Sherwin added it took firefighters approximately half an hour to extricate the patient.
According to the San Bernardino County Coroners, the female driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. “The decedent was an adult female, whose identity will be released after her family has been notified of the death and she has been positively identified.”
Victor Valley News contacted sheriff’s officials for further details on the crash and were advised a press release was not yet available.
Highway 395 was closed in both directions for approximately 10 hours as the Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) processed the scene.
