“Mosquito” helicopter valued at 50k stolen from Dagget Airport

BARSTOW, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The Barstow Sheriff’s Station is asking for the public’s help in locating a stolen “Mosquito” helicopter.

It happened on August 18, 2018, between 11:30 am, and 11:00 pm, unknown suspects cut a lock from the north gate at the Daggett Airport located at 35900 National Trails Highway.

The suspects stole a ‘Mosquito” helicopter from the tarmac, officials said.

The helicopter was described as a black and silver single-seat helicopter with a new engine and rotor blades.

According to a news release, “there were only three of its kind in the State of California and it is valued at approximately $50,000.”
