Memorial Service for Evangelina “Angie” Lawrence

VICTORVILLE: (VVNG) – On the afternoon of Wednesday, May 14th many in the community came out to celebrate the memory of Evangelina “Angie” Lawrence. The organizers of this memorial asked that all who came, attended to celebrate the life of Angie rather than mourning her untimely death.
The Memorial took place at a large tree in the Riverbed area near Stoddard Wells where many of the community’s homeless reside.
The beautiful yet casual memorial included a table with a cross, flowers, white balloons, photos and a sign in book for those who attended to sign in and write a short note.
There was singing of several touching songs, a short sermon, and those who wished to speak about Angie were given the opportunity to do so. The words spoken by her friends gave a true reflection as to who Angie was and why so many will miss her. The memorial was great way to honor Angie for those who loved and cared about her.
After the memorial there was a large meal where attendees could eat, socialize and talk about their friend who at a young age, so tragically passed away.
