Mega Million Estimated $550 Million

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Holidays may start early for those who take a chance and purchase a Mega Millions ticket of this Tuesday’s drawing. The lucky winner(s) will have a chance at winning a jackpot worth a whopping $550,000,000.00 (now that’s a whole lot of zeros). This number grew substantially after Friday the 13th’s drawing failed to yield a jackpot winner. The next drawing is on December 17, 2013 and held Tuesday and Friday at 8pm Pacific time. Five balls are drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 75; one ball is drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 15. You win if the numbers on one row of your ticket match the numbers of the balls drawn on that date. Sounds pretty easy, right? There are nine ways to win any prize ranging from $1, all the way to the jackpot. If no one wins the jackpot, the money is added next drawing, creating a huge money snowball effect. According to the CaLottery Website:
More than 96 cents of every dollar spent by our players goes back to the community.
The Victor Valley has also received funds from the Ca Lottery, according their website their historical contribution to Apple Valley Unified was $41,231,684, Victor Valley Union High $26,582,375 , Academy for Academic Excellence $1,837,071, Apple Valley Elementary $660,892, and Victor Valley Options for Youth $2,482,110. You can view a complete list on their website. Are you going to grab ticket? If so, how do you pick your numbers?
