Mazda SUV Rolls Over Near Stoddard Wells Road After Exiting I-15 Freeway In Victorville
VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A passenger was trapped after a single-vehicle rollover crash Friday morning near Stoddard Wells Road and the northbound I-15 freeway in Victorville.
The crash was reported at about 11:00 a.m. on May 22, 2026, along Frontage Road, just east of the freeway. Emergency responders arrived and confirmed the driver was able to exit the vehicle, while the passenger remained trapped and required extrication.
The 2021 Mazda CX-9 overturned multiple times before coming to rest in the desert area on the east side of the roadway. The vehicle also crashed into a chain-link perimeter fence that runs along the I-15 freeway.
According to California Highway Patrol incident logs, the Mazda was on the freeway and exited the off-ramp prior to the collision.
At least one ambulance responded to the scene, and the passenger was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Victorville Station.
