LAS VEGAS-(VVNG.com): Multiple people are injured after a vehicle, believed to be driven by a drunk driver, plowed into the crowded area on Sunday night. The incident occurred near the Planet Hollywood on South Las Vegas Boulevard which was the venue for the just ending, Miss Universe pageant.

One is confirmed dead, seven are in critical condition, twenty-six others are being treated at area hospitals and four were treated in released.
Unconfirmed reports say, the driver, a female with a child on board left the scene, subsequently turning herself into hotel security. Witnesses said that the female drove onto the sidewalk continuing on for several hundred feet. She was detained, given a sobriety test and remains in custody.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officials said that South Las Vegas Boulevard will be closed between Harmon and Flamingo while they investigate. Traffic east from I-15 will be diverted, and drivers will need to use alternative routes.
The investigation is still active and drivers should expect delays for several more hours. Authorities said that preliminary investigations indicate that the crash may have been intentional, but terrorism is ruled out.
