Man taken into custody after stand-off in Spring Valley Lake Saturday night

SPRING VALLEY LAKE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A stand-off with a barricaded male in the community of Spring Valley Lake Saturday night has ended peacefully, officials said.
At about 7:37 pm, on March 14, 2020, officers responded to a residence in the 13300 block of Country Club Drive regarding a disturbance.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Jodi Miller said there was an argument between a male and an adult female.
“The reporting party stated the 21-year-old male has been drinking alcohol all day,” stated Miller. “Deputies were able to communicate with the female, all persons except for the male are now outside of the residence and safe.”
Miller said as a precaution nearby homes had been evacuated. A sheriff’s aviation helicopter along with deputies on the ground made PA announcements for a suspect named Jason to surrender.
At approximately 9:25, deputies made entry into the residence and detained the male. “The incident has been peacefully resolved,” stated Miller.
Additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
