Coroner Case #701310003 – On 05/01/2013, at 12:05 A.M., a 66 year old male adult resident of Los Angeles, was traveling northbound in his semi-tractor trailer on Interstate 15, approximately 1 mile south of Outlet Center Drive, in Barstow. The male sustained a flat tire, pulled over to the right, and exited his vehicle to check the tire. He did not pull his vehicle completely off the Interstate and another driver rearended the vehicle causing it to hit the male subject. The male was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the male will be released upon notification of next of kin. The California Highway Patrol is investigating. [05012013 0943 SY]
