Man stabbed in chest air flighted from Hesperia

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) Deputies are investigating a stabbing that left a man critically injured Thursday night.

It happened at about 7:16 p.m. in the 14300 block of Poplar Street near Birchwood Drive.

According to witnesses at the scene, a Hispanic male adult was located by residents in the area covered in blood and unable to walk.

San Bernardino County Fire personnel arrived on scene and determined the male was suffering from multiple stab wounds to his chest.

Deputies were trying to determine where the stabbing occurred. It wasn’t immediately known if the man was stabbed at the location or dropped off by a vehicle.

The man was transported to a church parking lot on Maple Avenue and then further airlifted to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact local Sheriff’s Department at (760) 947-1500
