Man stabbed by brother in Hesperia airlifted to trauma center

The victim had labored breathing, but was responsive and alert

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) A man was airlifted after he was stabbed by his brother at an apartment complex, authorities said.

It happened at around 10:45 a.m. Thursday morning at the Mesa Garden Apartments located on the 8900 block of G Avenue in Hesperia.

Deputies responded and located the victim on the ground with a stab wound to his upper body.

The victim was alert and responsive as he was taken to the Hesperia airport to be transported by helicopter to a trauma center, Sergeant Doug Hubbard with the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station confirmed.

The suspect, a Hispanic male adult, fled the scene on foot but was apprehended 20 minutes later at a nearby apartment complex on E Avenue.

Deputies are on scene investigating the incident.
