Man shot multiple times in Hesperia Saturday night

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A man walking near the Hesperia golf course said he was shot multiple times after he was asked where he was from.
On Saturday, August 10, 2019, at about 10:00 pm sheriffs dispatch received a call about a male victim who suffered gunshot wounds; the victim was currently at a local hospital being treated for his wounds, officials said.
Deputies responded and learned from the victim that while he was walking in a unknown location by the Hesperia Golf Course; the victim was then approached by an unknown vehicle and the passenger, a male who the victim was unable to provide a description, asked the victim where he was from.
“The male then began shooting at the victim. The victim was struck in his right elbow, right armpit, and back. The victim was unable to recall how many rounds were fired at him. Victim then had someone drive him to the hospital,” stated sheriff’s spokesman Edgar Moran.
Moran said an extensive area check was conducted by the Hesperia Golf Course in order to locate the crime scene. “During the extensive area check, no shell casings or blood was located,” stated Moran.
