Man shot and killed at house party in Apple Valley; suspect(s) at large

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) – Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a killer who shot and killed another man at an Apple Valley house party.

On Monday, January 15, 2018, at approximately 7:41 am, deputies from the Apple Valley Police Department responded to the residence following the report of a possible deceased person inside the location.

Upon arrival, deputies located a deceased male with gunshot wounds.

“Investigators have determined that there was a party at the Teton Road home on Sunday night with several persons in attendance,” officials said in a news release.

The victim, an Apple Valley man whose identity has not been released, was at the location attending a house party when he was shot.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the suspect(s) remain unidentified and investigators are asking anyone that attended the party to contact Homicide Investigators, as their statements could be critical in identifying the suspects.

The Specialized Investigations Division are working the murder of Kyle McConnell, 19, of Victorville, who was also gunned down at a house party in the 7700 block of Foley Road in Oak Hills on January 6, 2018.

Investigators said Kyle was one of over 100 people in attendance who left the scene before speaking with deputies. Homicide investigator have made no arrest in McConnell’s death and are also asking for the public’s help in finding his killer(s). Officials haven’t commented on whether the two separate murders are in any way connected.
