BARSTOW, Calif. (VVNG.com)- Jesse Daniel Trinidad, 29, a resident of Gardena was arrested after shooting a man in the head, authorities said.
On Friday, January 13, 2017 at approximately 1:05 a.m., Barstow deputies Randy Duran and Dave Johnson, along with Sergeant James Evans responded to reports of a shooting in the 35000 block of Western Drive in the community of Lenwood.
Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Deputies detained Jesse Trinidad and recovered a handgun believed to be the weapon used in the assault. Evidence suggested Trinidad shot the victim inside the residence.
The victim was transported via ambulance to Barstow Community Hospital. There, he was stabilized before being transferred to the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center Trauma Unit. He was listed in critical, but stable condition.
Jesse Trinidad was arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and transported to the High Desert Detention Center where he was booked. His bail was set at $50,000.00.
