Man shot at after checking on suspicious vehicle in Eagle Ranch community

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Police are investigating after a concerned resident checking on a suspicious vehicle parked in his neighborhood was shot at, officials said.
On Thursday, September 5, 2019, just before 9:30 pm sheriff’s dispatch received multiple calls reporting shots heard in the area of Honeybear Lane and Contina Drive in Victorville.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez told Victor Valley News Group the victim noticed a gold- Honda Accord parked in front of a neighbor’s house, just up the street from his house.
Mara said the victim saw three people get out of the Honda and felt they may have been up to something so he drove his car up to where the car was parked to check it out.
“While driving up there, he saw two of the males run through an alleyway and get back in the car, which then began to drive away. The victim decided to follow the Honda and was shot at by someone in the Honda. At that point the victim drove home and called 911,” stated Rodriguez.
Rodriguez said his vehicle was hit multiple times by the gunfire. “He was not injured and no other reports of injury were received.
Jamie M. LeBeau lives on Cantina Street and said the shooting happened in front of her home. According to Jamie, two of her neighbor’s homes and one car were struck by the gunfire. Jamie also said one of the bullets was next to a kids window.
Rodriguez said so suspects are in custody and the investigation is continuing.
