Man Shot and Killed in Apple Valley

APPLE VALLEY:(VVNG.com)- Sheriff’s dispatch received a call reporting a gunshot victim on Muni Road in Apple Valley. Police responded to the location at approximately 9:40 p.m., on Monday, September 29, 2014 and upon arrival they located a subject in a vehicle with gunshot wounds.
[googlemap src=”” align=”alignright” ]According to scanner traffic, the victim was discovered in his vehicle described as a VW Jetta with out-of-state plates. Police reportedly located bullet holes on the exterior of the vehicle, leading them to believe the victim was shot through the door as he sat in his vehicle. The unidentified male victim was pronounced dead on arrival at 9:54 p.m.
Police have set road closures on Muni Road between Siskiyou Road and Tuscola Road while detectives conduct an investigation.
No clear motive on the shooting has been released. The victims identity will be released pending notification of next of kin. As of 11:40 p.m., authorities could not confirm any information on the suspect(s) or if any arrest had been made. More details will be updated as it is released.
