Man shot and killed at apartment complex in Apple Valley

Homicide investigation underway

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A man is dead after a shooting at an Apple Valley apartment complex Tuesday night, and deputies are looking for the person or people responsible for the fatal shooting.

An adult male was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his abdomen on the 20200 block of Thunderbird and Kiamichi roads at 10:38 p.m.

The man, whom officials have not publicly named at this time, was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Homicide investigators were dispatched to assume the investigation and to determine the events that led to the shooting.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputies with the Apple Valley station immediately closed off the area with crime scene tape and photographed a shell casing in the driveway.

No suspect information has been released at this time.
