Man Murdered Friday Night ID’d, Detectives Seek Public’s Help

ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) Homicide Detectives are investigating a murder and attempted murder that occurred Friday night.

On December 2, 2016, at approximately 8:23 pm, deputies from the Adelanto Police Department responded to several 911 calls of a shooting in the 15100 block of Christopher Street.

When deputies arrived they found Daniel Udell, a 29-year-old resident of Victorville, dead inside of a vehicle, authorities released.

The second victim was located outside of the vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, he was transported to the closest trauma facility and is expected to survive, authorities stated.

“He was a very respectful guy; I knew him since he was in high school and saw him become a responsible adult. He was a hard working guy, and one of the best guys I know,” commented Nolan Smith.

According to friends Udell was recently engaged and became a father less than a month ago.

The Sheriff’s Homicide Detail was requested to conduct the investigation.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or have information related to the shooting to contact Detective Mark Green or Sergeant Jason Radeleff of the Sheriff’s Homicide Detail at 909-387-3589.
