Man killed in I-15 crash near Baker Identified as San Diego man, 28

BAKER, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 28-year-old San Diego man was killed in a traffic accident along the northbound I-15 freeway Saturday.
The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased male as Isiah Moore Johnson.
It happened at about 3:40 pm, on January 26, 2019, south of Zzyzx Road near Baker.
Officers from the California Highway Patrol Barstow Area arrived on scene and located a 2004 Ford Explorer with major damage.
San Bernardino County Firefighters responded and pronounced Johnson dead at the scene. A 46-year-old male passenger, also from San Diego was uninjured in the crash.
Johnson was driving south on the I-15 when for reasons still under investigation, he allowed the Ford to leave the roadway and traveled into the center divider where it overturned.
“It is unknown at this point if alcohol and/or drugs are a contributing factor in this collision,” stated CHP officials.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Barstow CHP Station anyone with information is asked to call (760)255-5900.
