Man killed in head-on crash on Old Woman Springs Road In Lucerne Valley, Others Injured

LUCERNE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — One person was killed in a head-on crash on Thursday afternoon on Old Woman Springs Road.

The crash was reported at 4:12 PM between a black sedan and a red sedan at the intersection of Old Woman Springs Road (State Route 247) and Post Office Road. When emergency workers arrived on the scene, they located both vehicles with major damage.

The black sedan was occupied by a male driver and a male passenger. The male passenger was trapped in the collision, and despite life-saving measures, died at the scene.

A man and a woman from the red car sustained serious injuries and were transported to a trauma center for emergency treatment. CHP logs reported that the woman was unable to feel her legs.

Old Woman Springs Road was shut down for several hours for an investigation, with the fire department arriving at 8:30 PM to extricate the deceased individual from the vehicle.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.

The name of the deceased passenger has not been released.
