Man Killed After His Car Fell on Him

JOSHUA TREE:(VVNG.com)- Jeremy Porter, 39 was at his Joshua Tree apartment making repairs to his vehicle when his vehicle fell on him fatally injuring him. It was September 1st, Labor Day when Porter went out to make the repairs. According to a Sheriff’s report, Jeremy Porter was working on his car in the 6200 block of Verbena Road when his car fell off the jack and pinned him underneath it. A maintenance worker for the apartment complex found Porter and after checking for a pulse, called 911, and then the apartment manager.

jeremyThe apartment manager contacted his sister, Jamie Apduhan, who ran out screaming to find her brother with the car atop his lifeless body. His sister immediately made a call to his wife, Tracy Porter to let her know what had happened. Jamie went to Hi-Desert Medical Center with Porter where he was pronounced deceased.

Jeremy was born on April 15, 1975, he attended West Covina High School. He was a loving father to six kids, two biological and four that he loved and raised as his own. His children are Jeanette, 20,  Hayley, 14, Wes, 12, Kortney, 19, Cruise, 12, and Armi, 9.  They all loved him very much. Jeremy married his wife, Tracy Porter on September 27, 2013.

Jeremy was the sweetest person, he loved clothes, and  hats, they were his obsession along with his wife, children and family. He had a group on Facebook called, Snap backs. He sold all sorts of hats there,” said Ashley Haworth, his cousin. His family also said he loved tattoos and he was a loving person who would give his last dime to someone in need.
