VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A pedestrian crossing the roadway was struck and killed by an SUV in Victorville Friday night.
It happened at about 6:50 pm, on January 24, 2020, in the 15000 block of Palmdale Road near Borego Road.
The male pedestrian was struck by a dark-colored 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe that was traveling eastbound on Palmdale Road.
The driver of the SUV told VVNG he didn’t see the pedestrian who just came out of nowhere. The driver cooperated with police during the investigation and drugs or alcohol were not suspected to be a contributing factor.
This is the second pedestrian killed this week in Victorville. On January 22nd a 60-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a pickup truck on Hesperia Road near D Street in Victorville.
Palmdale Road was closed in both directions between Mc Art and Cahuenga Roads while the Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) Conducted the investigation.
