Man gets away after robbing US Bank in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif., (VVNG.com) — A man, only described by officials as Hispanic, robbed a Victorville bank Monday afternoon and remains on the run.
According to Victorville police, the suspect confronted a teller at the US Bank branch office inside the Vons shopping center in the 12100
The robber approached the teller with a brown paper bag and fled with an undisclosed amount of stolen money, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Jodi Miller told Victor Valley News.
“The suspect told the teller he had a gun however, she did not see one,” stated Miller.
Several shoppers told Victor Valley News police taped-off the bank area with crime scene tape, but otherwise business was as usual.
Ron Postoian said he was in the store when it “went down” and it was no “big deal”.
“I was all the way on the other side of the store buying my favorite Diet Vernors Ginger soda (3 for $2.99) That was more exciting then what I saw – Nothing. But when I left 3 cop cars out front and more crime scene tape,”Postoian wrote in a Facebook comment.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Victorville Station at 760-242-2911 or Sheriff’s Dispatch 760-956-5001
