Man Found Shot to Death in Adelanto Neighborhood; Homicide Detectives Called In

ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A man was found shot to death early Sunday morning in an Adelanto neighborhood, prompting a homicide investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies were dispatched at approximately 12:24 a.m., Sunday, February 15, 2026, to the 11200 block of Auburn Avenue near the Ridgeview Apartments following reports of a shooting.
According to information provided by Jenny L. Smith, spokesperson for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, when deputies arrived at the location, they discovered a deceased individual at the scene.
Homicide detectives were notified and responded to the scene, where they assumed the investigation.
Authorities have not released the identity of the victim, and it remains unclear whether any suspects have been arrested or if investigators are actively searching for a suspect.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting have not yet been disclosed.
