Man found dead inside car near I-15 freeway in Victorville

UPDATE @1:40 PM — Sheriff’s officials said deputies located and detained subjects related to the murder investigation at a nearby business, near the vehicle. The motive for the shooting is under investigation and the identity of the victim is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Homicide detectives are investigating after a man was found dead inside a vehicle along the I-15 freeway in Victorville.

The investigation is taking place in the 16500 block of Stoddard Wells Road, near the on and off-ramps.

At about 3:30 am on Monday, January 13, 2020, deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded and found a deceased male inside the vehicle, a black four-door Honda that is stopped on Stoddard Wells Road, with its passenger door open.

Sheriff’s officials said no other information was available for release at this time.

The investigation has prompted officials to block traffic on the northbound I-15 Stoddard Wells offramp and the roadway up to Highway 18.
