Man found dead inside car in Victorville ID’d

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office identified the man found dead inside a vehicle as Hugo Roberto Lemus, 30, of Tujunga, CA.
The body of Lemus was found on Sunday, June 9, 2018, at about 10:35 am, after deputies responded to the area following reports of a vehicle that had been parked there for several days.
In a sheriff’s news release, officials said they located the body inside the vehicle, however, officials never confirmed if Lemus’s body was in the car or trunk.
An anonymous source told Victor Valley News, Lemus had been reported as a missing person with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and he was on his way to Las Vegas prior to his disappearance.
The Coroner’s Office said the manner of death in the case is still pending.
Sgt. Walker with the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division-Homicide Detail confirmed the investigation is ongoing and had no new information for release.
