Police Release Identity of Man Found Murdered in Apple Valley

APPLE VALLEY, Calif: (VVNG.com)- Authorities have released the name of the man found murdered in Apple Valley on Wednesday morning.
On August 10, 2016, at approximately 6:38 a.m. deputies from the Town of Apple Valley responded to a medical aid call at a residence on 12600 block of Apple Valley Road.
Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, Michael Anthony Brooks Jr., 54, a resident of Apple Valley suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Brooks was pronounced deceased at the residence.
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division-Homicide Detail responded to the location and conducted a death investigation. During the investigation, detectives learned the wounds were not self-inflicted. The shooting is being investigated as a homicide, and the investigation is ongoing.
