VICTORVILLE: Detectives are investigating a possible homicide of an elderly male in his late 80’s. The body was discovered inside of a residence on the 12600 block of High Desert road just after 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday.
According to a family friend, a very worried daughter who lives in the City of Downey called him expressing major concern about not being able to reach her father via telephone going on several days. The elderly male lived alone in the home with his dog.
The family friend quickly made his way over to the residence only a few blocks away. As he arrived he felt something was not right and made his way inside the home. Upon entering he quickly noticed the home appeared to have been ransacked. As he made his way into the kitchen he discovered the deceased male laying on the kitchen floor.
Neighbor’s in the area are in complete shock and disbelief they describe the deceased man as an outgoing, friendly, enjoyed gardening, and always sat outside waiving and talking to other neighbors.
Concerned neighbors say the area has seen a rash of home burglaries and vehicle break in’s over the past several week’s.
At this time the exact cause of death is unknown and the identity of the descendant will be released by the San Bernardino County Coroners. More details will be posted as they become available.
