
Apple Valley, Calif. (VVNG.com) Authorities responded to a home after a man called dispatch and said he fatally shot his wife.
Just after 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 13300 block of Applewood Road for reports of a gunshot victim.
When authorities arrived on scene they located an adult female suffering from a gunshot wound. Per scanner traffic, she was pronounced deceased at 10:16 p.m.
The Sheriff’s Homicide Detail was requested to respond to assume the investigation, scanner traffic reported.
Several minor children were placed in the back of a Sheriff’s Patrol Unit and transported to the Apple Valley Police Station where Child Protective Services was requested to respond.
Authorities on scene remained tight-lipped and were not forthcoming with details regarding the incident.
Neighbors who spoke with Victor Valley News said they did not hear any gunfire coming from the residence.
“We’ve heard arguing coming from their house a couple of times, but just disputing and nothing that we would call the cops for,” said a neighbor who lives near the residence.
