Man crashes into VVTA bus as he attempts to flee from assault suspect in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A man attempting to flee from his attacker crashed into a Victorville city bus Monday night.

It happened at about 8:10 pm, in the 14000 block of Kentwood Blvd. in Victorville.

According to sheriff’s officials at the scene, the victim was assaulted in the Del Taco parking lot and after the attack, he ran towards his vehicle parked at the nearby Budget Inn.

The victim jumped into his red 1992 Chevy pick-up truck and as he reversed he side-swiped a Victor Valley Transit Authority bus that was attempting to stop at the bus stop on Kentwood Blvd.

The bus sustained damage to the passenger side and no injuries were reported by the driver of the two passengers.

The victim was treated at the scene for a hand injury but declined medical transport.

Police said they were searching the area for a Black Male Adult who fled the area on a bicycle. No further details were available at the time of this report.
