Man carjacked outside M&M Liquor Friday night in Hesperia

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Police are investigating after a man was attacked and carjacked outside M & M Liquor on Friday night.
At about 11:08 pm deputies from the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station responded to the 15600 block of Mauna Loa Street reference a carjacking that had just occurred.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Jodi Miller when deputies arrived they were advised by the victim that he had parked at M&M Liquor, and while attempting to retrieve an empty water bottle out of the back seat, he was struck several times from an unknown suspect.
Miller said the victim fell to the ground and the suspect entered the vehicle, a black Nissan Altima and fled the location.
The victim was not injured.
The following day, on July 6, 2019, at about 8:00 am a Hesperia deputy located the victim’s vehicle in a field near the Sunset View Apartments in the 9900 block of Topaz Avenue.
Miller said the windows were broken out of the vehicle and there was damage to the interior. “Deputies have been attempting to contact the registered owner to return his vehicle.”
