
APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) – A late night ‘munchies’ run ended badly for the driver, Jeremy Byrd after he was arrested for driving a stolen vehicle.
At about 11:45 pm, Deputy Jared Sacapano was patrolling the parking lot in the 12200 block of Apple Valley Road and saw a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado stopped in the drive-thru at Del Taco.
“Sacapano ran the license plate of the vehicle and learned the vehicle was reported stolen out of Boron,” sheriff’s officials said in a press release.
A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was identified as Jeremy Byrd, a 30-year-old transient. The deputy also discovered Byrd had an active warrant for driving with a suspended drivers license.
Jeremy Byrd was arrested and booked into High Desert Detention Center for P.C. 496D(A) – Possession of a stolen vehicle and the outstanding warrant.
According to public arrest records, Byrd is no longer in custody and was released on Tuesday, July 18th at 5:00 pm, and has no scheduled court appearance.
