
HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Police said a man who was reaching into cars brandished a gun at a victim in Hesperia Sunday.
It happened on April 21, 2019 at in broad daylight, at about 2:24 p.m. at the AutoZone located on the 14400 block of Main Street.
“Deputies arrived on scene and learned that victims went to the Auto Zone to have their vehicle serviced. When they walked out, they found an unknown white male adult reaching into their vehicle through the open car window,” Edgar Moran, the Hesperia Sheriff’s Spokesman, told VVNG.
When the victims confronted the subject, he pulled out a silver revolver and pointed it towards one of the victims.
“The subject told the victim to get back and the subject then entered a grey Kia Sol that was being driven by a white female adult and fled the location northbound on Maple Avenue, officials said.
Deputies conducted an area check for the vehicle but were unable to find it.
The public is advised to be aware of your surroundings and to keep personal items and valuables out of view while parking.
