VICTORVILLE-(VVNG.com): A 53-year-old Hesperia man was arrested after calling in a bomb threat to the Victor Valley Transit Authority (VVTA) late Tuesday morning.
At around 10:57 a.m. the VVTA bus was stopped at 7th Street and Lorene Drive where the passengers evacuated and an extensive search of the bus was done.
“It was determined there was no bomb on the bus,” said Victorville Sheriff’s Station spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez. “It appears the suspect may have been upset that he missed the bus and this is why he made the false call.”
Per scanner traffic, a search of the suspects Hesperia home also came up with nothing consistent with a bomb or bomb making materials.
