Chino Hills Police Department – Suspect arrested for Contact of Minor with Intent to Commit Sexual Offense
According to a San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department press release, “On Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at approximately 7:30 a.m., the victim, who is a minor, was contacted by the suspect, Brandon Barbour, while she was walking to school. Barbour allegedly brandished a knife and ordered the victim to perform a sexual act with him. The victim fled and reported the incident to school officials who contacted law enforcement. A description of the suspect and his vehicle was obtained at the time, but an area check for the subject met with negative results.

On June 12, 2013, at around 1900 hours, the victim saw Barbour walking through her apartment complex and pointed him out to her parents. Barbour was confronted and detained by the victim’s father until deputies arrived. Barbour was positively identified as the suspect. Other evidence linking Barbour to the incident was located, including a knife, jacket and his vehicle.
Barbour was arrested and booked at West Valley Detention Center for PC 288.3(a) Contact of Minor with intent to commit sexual offense.
