
VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A fight involving family members escalated and resulted with one person arrested for attempted murder.
It happened on March 16, 2018, at about 9:20 pm, when Victorville Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a home in the 14400 block of La Paz Drive in Victorville.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez said, Takalafatu Lasukau, 29, of Hayward, CA was reported to have been in a physical argument with his step-father and mother while at their home. The argument eventually escalated and Lasukau began punching the step-father.
“At some point during the fight the suspect took a knife from the kitchen and attempted to stab the victim,” stated Rodriguez.
Rodriguez said, the suspect’s mother tried to break-up the fight and the step-father was able to get away. Neighbors showed up and the suspect left the location.
Lasukau was located and taken into custody, without incident. He was arrested for attempted murder and booked at High Desert Detention Center.
According to booking logs, Lasukau is being held on a $1 million dollar bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in a Victorville courtroom on March 20, 2018.
