VICTORVILLE:(VVNG.com)- A 34-year-old Victorville man identified as Eduardo Charriez was arrested Tuesday night for assault with a deadly weapon.
On November 10, 2015, Deputies responded to the Casa Bella Apartments located at 16980 following a report of a man with a gun. When deputies arrived on scene, they were given a description of the suspect and located him inside a building at the complex. The suspect was unaware of the deputies arrival and they were able to detain Eduardo Charriez without incident.
A loaded handgun was located inside Charriez’s jacket pocket. A victim was located who reported Charriez took his cell phone by force and the victim feared for his life. The victim stated the Charriez pointed a handgun at his face, then struck him in the face with his hand and took his cell phone. The handgun which was found on Charriez was identified as the weapon used in the robbery. The cell phone was recovered during the investigation.
While investigating the robbery, a second victim came forward and identified Charriez as the suspect who pointed a gun at them on November 9th while Charriez accused the victim of taking his pills. The second victim was in fear he would be shot and did not report the incident because Charriez lived in the area and the victim was in sustained fear of Charriez. The second victim advised Charriez did re-approach him later in the day and apologized because Charriez found his pills.
The first victim sustained minor injuries and Charriez was booked at the High Desert Detention Center.
