VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon left a man critically injured after he slammed into a vehicle occupied by a family of five.
The crash involving a black 2017 Chevy Spark and a red 2017 Hyundai Elantra was reported at 4:34 pm, on Amargosa Road, just before Bear Valley Road in Victorville.
For reasons still under investigation, the male driver of the Chevy slammed into the back of the Hyundai that as it was waiting at the traffic light.
The Hyundai was occupied by an adult male, an adult female, and three small children. The mom and one child were transported by ground ambulance to Loma Linda Medical Center.
A helicopter was requested to transport the driver of the Chevy to a trauma center with unknown injuries.
The official cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Victorville Police Department.
