Man airlifted after motorcycle crash on Mojave Drive in Victorville

VICTORVlLLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A man on a motorcycle was struck by a car and airlifted to a hospital Tuesday morning.
It happened at about 7:36 a.m. at the corner of Mojave Drive and Ferndale Road and involved a black Honda Rebel motorcycle and a white sedan.
San Bernardino County Firefighters and AMR arrived on scene and located the rider in the roadway.
“San Bernardino County Fire Helicopter 325 was requested to transport the patient to an out of area trauma center. From the time of dispatch for H325 to arrival at Loma Linda University was 41 minutes,” stated SBCoFD Captain Jeff Allen.
“We strive to get trauma patients to the receiving trauma hospital within 1 hour from time of injury so anything less than that is to an even greater benefit to the patient” Allen said.
His injuries are unknown.
The driver of the sedan remained on scene and cooperated with officials. The driver and passenger did not sustain injuries.
The Victorville Police Department is investigating the crash.
