VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A man who was airlifted from a crash in Victorville Monday afternoon is reportedly in stable condition.

The crash happened at 3:54 p.m. in front of the 76 gas station at the 16800 block of Stoddard Wells Road, near Abby Lane.

For an unknown reason, the driver of the gray Dodge sedan lost control and rolled his vehicle.

Battalion Chief Ronald Myers with the Victorville City Fire Department told VVNG that the driver was airlifted to a trauma center due to his injuries.

He was transported by ground ambulance to Victor Valley Hospital.

Mercy Air landed at Victor Valley Hospital to further transport the victim to Loma Linda University Medical Center, however, due to wind and rain in parts of the desert Monday, the man was flown to Antelope Valley Hospital.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
