Man Accused Of Pointing Gun At Two Victims And Threatening To Kill Them Arrested In Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 37-year-old Victorville transient was arrested Sunday night after deputies say he threatened two people with a handgun and was later found in possession of a firearm and a controlled substance.

According to a written statement from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded at approximately 11:25 p.m. on June 14, 2026, to the area of Seventh Street and Union Street regarding a report of a man with a gun.

During the investigation, deputies learned Edgar Garcia was walking through the area carrying a black semi-automatic pistol when he contacted an adult male and an adult female. Authorities said Garcia allegedly pointed the handgun at both victims while making threats to kill them.

Deputies located Garcia near Seventh Street and Union Street and detained him. During contact with Garcia, deputies found him in possession of a handgun and a controlled substance, according to the statement.

Garcia was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto on suspicion of assault with a firearm on a person, possession of a controlled substance while armed, and criminal threats.
