Man, 27, riding ATV struck and killed by train in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 27-year-old man riding an ATV was struck and killed by a train on Sunday morning.
At about 11:00 am, on June 9, 2019, officers from the BNSF Police Department responded to a single vehicle ATV collision with a train in the area of Industrial Blvd and Santa Fe Avenue in Victorville.
According to the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office the driver of the 2012 Polaris 800, Michael Slavin, a resident of La Puente, was pronounced deceased at the scene at 11:15 am.
Michael’s family started a Gofundme account to help with funeral expenses. They also said he leaves behind a wife and 3 young children. Donations can be made by clicking here.
The BNSF Police Department is investigating the collision.
