Male Driver in Single Vehicle Roll Over Airlifted

ORO GRANDE, CALIF:(VVNG.com)- One person was trapped and required extrication following a single vehicle roll over on National Trails Highway near Oleander Street. The crash was reported at 1:52 PM on Saturday, January 2, 2016.

According to the California Highway Patrol incident logs, the driver appeared to be 25-30 years old and was reportedly unconscious.

CHP officer Mike Hernandez said, the driver was traveling southbound on National Trails Highway when he lost control of his vehicle, a white Kia Soul. The vehicle left the roadway and crashed through a chain linked fence of a home. The vehicle rolled several times before coming to a stop in an empty dirt lot. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was trapped and required extrication by San Bernardino County Firefighters.

Due to the extent of the patients injuries an air ambulance was requested. The male was airlifted to Loma Linda Medical Center for treatment of undisclosed injuries.

No other vehicles or injuries were involved in the crash.”Speed was the main factor in the collision”, stated Hernandez.
