Lucerne Valley Search Yields More Than Deputies Were Seeking

LUCERNE VALLEY-(  Two Lucerne Valley men were arrested on Wednesday afternoon after a search was served on a property on the 9900 block of El Sereno Avenue.  The search warrant was obtained after an investigation into a January 4th burglary at the Robertson Ready Mix lead deputies to the Lucerne Valley home.

During the burglary, the suspects caused around $10,000 in damage to the business when they removed copper wiring. The investigation was turned over to the Rural Crimes Task Force.

On Wednesday, February 10th, the search warrant was served at the residence and among the items recovered was property stolen from Robertson Ready Mix. During the search, deputies also discovered a marijuana cultivation operation and an elaborate setup for theft of electricity.

Steven Lawrence, 44 and Angel Lobo, 20,  were contacted at the residence during the search warrant. Both men were booked at the High Desert Detention Center for possession of stolen property, cultivation of marijuana, theft of utilities and are being held on $25,000 bail.
