According to a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s coroners release, on Saturday 8, 2014 a 911 call was received at about 5:30 AM, reporting an accident in the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 approximately 2 miles south of the Nevada state line north of Mountain Pass.
Emergency medical services from Nevada responded to find 23 year-old Los Angeles resident Loui Baez Silva, the driver of a 1999 BMW dead on-scene.
The BMW was parked in the #2 lane and was struck by a tractor/trailer rig traveling southbound on the freeway.
The CHP- Barstow office, is investigating the incident.
