LoJack hit leads to stolen vehicle in Adelanto, two arrested

ADELANTO, Calif. ( — Authorities arrested a man and woman they linked to a vehicle theft out of Las Vegas, officials said.

A LoJack hit led San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputies to Devin Cussimonio, 23, of Quartz Hill and Krista Rutledge, 25, of Lancaster on Sunday night.

According to a sheriff’s news release, at about 8:37 pm, Deputy M. Lewis was on patrol when he received a LoJack hit on a 1998 Honda stolen out of Las Vegas on January 4, 2019, officials said.

The hit led the deputy to a Family Dollar in the 11500 block of Bartlett Avenue in Adelanto where they found the stolen car parked in the parking lot.

“Deputies watched the vehicle for several minutes until two subjects, later identified as Devin Cussimonio and Krista Rutledge, exit the store and enter the vehicle,” stated the news release.

Both subjects were taken into custody without incident by deputies at the scene. Cussimonio was found to be in possession of multiple shaved keys, officials said.

Devin Cussimonio and Krista Rutledge were booked at High Desert Detention Center where they were later released on their Own Recognizance.

Anyone with information regarding this crime is urged to contact Deputy Mark Lewis at Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station, (760) 552-6800.
